While the idea of braces doesn’t always sound appealing, the amazing results are always worth it. If you think Invisalign might be a great option for you, here is what you can expect throughout your entire treatment process.

Before Invisalign

You will go in to see your Naples, FL dentist for an initial consultation. During this visit we will make impressions of your teeth toInvisalign send to a lab to then fabricate your own clear aligners. Everyone’s aligners are uniquely designed based on the treatment plan we have created for you. We will also tell you how long we expect your treatment to last and provide you with any care instructions to follow during your treatment.

During Invisalign

You will wear each clear plastic aligner about 20 to 22 hours out of the day, only removing them for meals or when brushing and flossing. Be sure to always rinse out your aligners before putting them back in to prevent stains and clouding.

Aligners are worn for about two weeks at a time, after which you will put on the next aligner in the series to gradually progress your treatment. Each aligner will slowly shift teeth back to the desired position.

During your Invisalign treatment in Naples, FL, you will also see your dentist about every six weeks to ensure that everything is progressing on time and as it should.

After Invisalign

Most dentists will recommend that you wear a retainer after your treatment to stop teeth from shifting back to their original position. However, every case is different so your Naples, FL dentist will be able to tell you best whether a retainer after treatment will be necessary. Invisalign also offers its own retainer better known as Vivera® to keep your newly straightened teeth in place.

If you think Invisalign would be a great option for you, then call your dentist in Naples, FL to schedule an orthodontic consultation. If you decide Invisalign is right for you we know you will be happy with the results.
